As a world to know how the envelope window and interior opaques contribute to this layout.
That said, while windows are printed on many envelopes, one may consider the window placement of the envelopes to be rather vague. These measurements are important to accurately position the window in the middle of the contents of the envelope. Last of all, all the measurements are made in a reference plane in which the flaps are placed at the top of the envelope. Further, interior opaques are adopted to cover the contents, and window envelopes are very practical and secure.
Measuring Envelope Windows
Height and Width (A x B):
Dimensions of an envelope window include height and width but the measurement of height should precede that of width. Standard notation is present in various designs and whenever used helps in maintaining the practice standard.
Positioning of the Window (C x D):
The position of the window referred to the envelope is first the distance from the left-hand side of the envelope ‘C’ and then the distance of the base ‘D’. It is also advisable for the flap of the envelope to be placed on the top of the line or even on the topmost portion of the ruler in such measurements.
Types of Envelope Window Film
Standard Window Film:
Our normal window film is of 22 microns thickness which is compatible with Royal Mail Optical Character Recognition Systems. This type of film is the most frequently used and provides better clarity and hardness which will meet most mailing requirements.
Biodegradable Window Film:
In our effort to embrace the environment, we provide window film that we manufacture from cornstarch in a Purely Environmental Evolve Recycled Range. This movie is recycled and at the same time is 100% recycled, making it a perfect movie according to modern environmental standards. As such, it can be recommended as a perfect choice for people who want to change their providers and take care of the environment at the same time while not wanting to be offered a lower-quality car.
Bespoke Envelope Windows:
When it comes to signature or style-making looks or hitting the bull’s eye in terms of marketing aspirations, bespoke envelope windows are the way to go. These envelopes can come with windows of any shape – circular, triangular, and even multiple ones for multiple-windows-mailshots purposes. Some of the designs have windows in the back part of the envelope, to give a touch of extra appeal. Laser Film:
Our premium envelopes; the Premium Business, Premium Office, Premium Pure, and the Premium Post Fast are made using a 50-micron window film. It is made thicker to confront the heat that is produced by the coloured ones, the monochrome laser printers, and the digital printing machines in use. These envelopes are best used in the business environment where crisp and clean print outs are needed.
Reverse Windows:
For those seeking for unique, our Purely Everyday is a special range of envelopes with windows on the back. It prints on the entire face of the envelope, which may be advantageous for marketing and promotional purposes where the envelope is likely to contain nothing that is printed on the surface.
Interior Opaque Printing
Purpose of Interior Opaque:
The primary goals of interior opaque printing also commonly known as inside security printing is to ensure that no person who has been barred from accessing whatever is in an envelope gets to do so. When the patterns or designs are printed on the inside of the envelope, nobody can easily read whatever has been written on the envelope material. This feature is attributed to white envelopes only, which are being widely used in the writing of business letters and other ceremonies.
Environmental Applications:
This can also be used as a way of getting out messages to people since it is an interior opaque print. For instance, in our Purely Environmental Recycled and Purely Environmental FSC range we use interior opaque that conveys environmental messages. This is so as when the contents of the envelope are squished out one gets a glimpse through the window thus being reminded of the environmental benefit of the product.
Custom Designs and Colors:
Interior opaque printing is typically done in blue or grey, however, with larger bespoke orders we can accommodate full-colour requests. Customers can choose a specific Pantone colour or even request a custom design to match their company logo. Furthermore, logos, messages or names can be discreetly printed on the throat of the envelope or an area known also as the lozenge to ensure that a way of personalizing each envelope can be met.
Popular Designs:
That is why the logo of the blueprint opaque, which has been designed in the form of a ‘mountain peak’ has been printed in Pantone 292. This design we have implemented throughout our entire range and has become rather popular, imitating what others appeared. Other than this iconic design, they also use only a few numbers of envelopes that uses grey opaque printing if one wants to have a more monotonous look.
Brand Awareness Through Opaque:
To go a step further in enhancing brand awareness, we have placed the Blake brand logos around the throat area of envelopes in our Premium and Creative Colour portfolios. The idea behind this type of branding is rather simple – to make people aware of the company’s name, which doesn’t detract from the overall impression one gets about the envelope as being quite formal and sophisticated.
